Job summary

Search Consultancy is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a growing business based in East Kilbride. The role focuses on the day-to-day purchase ledger, with training and hybrid working after the initial period.

You will support the Finance Manager, process invoices, allocations and reconciliations, and have the opportunity to broaden experience across the finance function, including potential to move to a permanent position after the initial 3-month contract.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
• Sales ledger experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience using Sage 200 would be beneficial.
• Good understanding of general bookkeeping and finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day purchase ledger function, accounting for approximately 90% of the role.
• Process purchase invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with payment allocations and the resolution of account discrepancies.
• Support month-end procedures and financial reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Sage 200.
• Provide general bookkeeping and finance administration support.
