Job summary

Vertu Motors' Vertu Vauxhall Litchfield is hiring a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. This full-time role supports supplier invoicing, ledgers, and payment runs to ensure accurate records and timely payments.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, good numerical accuracy, solid IT skills, and the ability to work calmly in a busy environment with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts, finance, administration, or purchase ledger is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and data-entry accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive and positive approach to work.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Prepare and process monthly payment runs.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare and process bank payments.
• Maintain purchase ledger records.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal colleagues.
• Support the wider accounts team with additional administrative duties when required.
