Job summary

Vertu Volkswagen Nottingham South is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. This role offers a chance to support the dealership's accounting operations across sales and purchase ledgers, provide accurate financial records, and work closely with colleagues.

• Handling supplier and purchase ledger queries.
• Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Supporting daily banking and cashflow processes.
• Assisting with credit control activities.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Providing general administrative support to the accounts department.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous accounts or finance experience, although this is not essential
• Experience within the motor industry would be advantageous but not required
• A desire to develop a career within finance and accounting
• AAT studies or progress towards relevant qualifications would be beneficial for candidates without previous experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
