RG Consultancy are working with a large distribution business based in Oldham who are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance department. You will work within a busy finance department to manage and maintain the purchase ledger and report into the Purchase Ledger Supervisor.

  • Up to 30 days holiday (rising with service) + 8 bank holidays

The Role
  • Responsible for all purchase ledger duties, manage and maintain the purchase ledger
  • Processing invoices (including stock and overheads)
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Petty cash management
  • Dealing with supplier queries over email and managing the accounts payable expenses
  • Daily banking
  • Other ad hoc duties to support the Purchase Ledger Supervisor as required
The Person
  • An AAT qualification would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong IT skills and experience with SAGE and MS Excel
  • Previous experience working in a busy or fast based purchase Ledger or similar role
  • Confident communicator on the phone and via email
  • Ability to deal with high volume work efficiently
