Job summary

Convergence Group is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to help sustain rapid growth across its UK finance team. Your role will ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid on time, while building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You’ll bring experience in purchase ledgers or accounts payable, handle high volumes, and use Excel and NetSuite. The position offers hybrid work from our Solihull office and a friendly, ambitious culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
• Experience processing high volumes of supplier invoices.
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Confident communication with suppliers and colleagues.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience of ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices accurately within NetSuite.
• Matching, coding and posting invoices in line with procedures.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Responding to supplier and internal finance queries.
• Supporting month-end close activities and reconciliations.
• Monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox.
• Processing supplier credit notes and maintaining records.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

What you'll be doing as our Purchase Ledger Clerk

You'll play a vital role in keeping our business running smoothly by ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you'll manage supplier invoices from receipt through to payment while maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing supplier invoices accurately within NetSuite
• Matching, coding and posting invoices in line with company procedures
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Responding to supplier and internal finance queries
• Supporting month-end close activities and reconciliations
• Monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox
• Processing supplier credit notes and maintaining accurate supplier records
• Helping identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with accuracy and pace and takes pride in delivering an excellent service.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
• Experience processing high volumes of supplier invoices
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
• Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience of ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be an advantage but isn't essential)
