Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a Welfare Assistant to support pupil safety, wellbeing and happiness during the school day at Castle View Academy in Lancaster. You will supervise lunchtimes, encourage positive play and provide gentle guidance in a welcoming, safe environment.

Ideal candidates will be compassionate, with strong communication skills, First Aid qualification (or willingness to train) and a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch break in dining areas, classrooms, and playgrounds.
• Encourage inclusive play and promote positive behaviour in line with school values.
• Attend to basic first aid needs or minor incidents with care and patience.
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive staff team.
