Job summary

Portsmouth City Council seeks Relief Passenger Assistants for the Integrated Transport Unit to cover staff absences. You will supervise pupils during journeys to schools, colleges and contact centres, ensuring safety and appropriate behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pupils' behaviour, safety and wellbeing during journeys
• Ensure pupils are strapped into vehicles and use equipment safely
• Work mainly independently as a representative of Portsmouth City Council with a transport provider driver
• Hours around school openings: 08:00–09:30 and 14:30–16:15, term-time only
