Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Pupil Support Worker for Stenhouse Primary School in Edinburgh. The role is part-time (15.5 hours per week, 39 weeks) with sessions and duties centred on supporting pupils with autism and other complex needs in a nurturing learning environment.

Hours are Monday and Thursday 8:30–15:15, and Friday 8:30–12:15. PVG checks are required, with additional overseas or UK verification as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with additional support needs.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated and patient.
• Strong team player with ability to reflect on practice.

Responsibilities

• Support two classes (eight pupils per class) in Stenhouse Primary School.
• Work across multiple mornings/afternoons as per hours: Mon & Thu 8:30–15:15, Fri 8:30–12:15.
• Participate in PVG Scheme checks and obtain necessary pre-employment checks.
