Job summary

Abbey Hill Academy & College in partnership with St Bart’s Multi Academy Trust is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Pupil Support Team to address pupils’ needs, coordinating mental health, OT/SALT therapy and targeted interventions to overcome barriers to learning.

You will liaise with staff and external practitioners, line-manage the PST, conduct home visits, track progress and support policy development across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a pupil support or wellbeing team.
• Strong communication with parents, carers and external practitioners.
• Knowledge of SEMH and pupil mental health support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pupil Support Team to address pupil needs and coordinate mental health and therapeutic support.
• Liaise with teaching staff and external practitioners to develop individual action plans for targeted pupils.
• Line manage the Pupil Support Team, provide staff training and day-to-day supervision.
• Support attendance, behaviour and transition planning for pupils across schools.
• Maintain confidentiality and contribute to school policies and safeguarding.
