Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 20.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional
We are looking for a Pupil Support Officer to join the team in our Enhanced Support Base.
The ESB is a specialised provision attended by children with a diagnosis of autism and other complex needs. As of August 2024, there will be two classes with eight pupils each, supported by two class teachers, two EYPs, and three Pupil Support Assistants. The successful candidate will work in both classes. We seek someone with significant experience supporting children with additional support needs, who is enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated, understanding, and patient. The ability to work in a nurturing learning environment and as a strong team player is essential, along with a passion for ongoing professional development.

This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Candidates who have spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years will require an Overseas Criminal Record Check. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of these checks.
