Job summary

The Active Learning Trust is seeking a thoughtful Pupil Support Officer to enhance student wellbeing and participation in school life. You will work within a close-knit pastoral team to remove barriers to learning, supporting safeguarding and coordinating with families and external agencies.

In this role you will respond to wellbeing and attendance issues, maintain accurate records, and help plan targeted interventions for vulnerable learners, while supporting year team operations and student

Qualifications

• Experience delivering pastoral support to students.
• Ability to respond to wellbeing, attendance and behaviour needs.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day pastoral support addressing wellbeing, attendance and behaviour.
• Safeguard pupils with accurate records and address concerns including bullying or discrimination.
• Build strong relationships with families and coordinate support.
• Collaborate with staff and external agencies to plan interventions for vulnerable learners.
• Support year team operations, including behaviour monitoring and student supervision.
