Job summary

Our Lady and St John RC High School, a Voluntary Academy in West Wick, is seeking a friendly teaching assistant to support pupils individually and in groups, under supervision, to enrich curriculum learning and enable access to learning for all.

You will assist teachers with classroom preparation, managing pupil behaviour, and basic administrative tasks, contributing to a safe, inclusive environment and promoting pupil independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in a school setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow school policies.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and manage behaviour under teacher direction.
• Assist with lesson preparations and storing/displaying work.
• Provide minimal clerical support as needed.
• Attend meetings and participate in training.
