Aberdeen City Council is seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Assistant to support children with Additional Support Needs at Heathryburn School, on a permanent, part-time basis.

You will work with teaching staff and partner agencies to enable learning, promote inclusion and help learners develop independence in a nurturing environment, supporting a range of needs including communication, social and behavioural challenges. PVG membership is essential or obtainable before offer.

Qualifications

• PVG membership for regulated work with children, or willingness to obtain before formal offer.
• Proven oral communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Empathy, patience and tolerance, and ability to respond positively to additional support needs.

Responsabilités

• Support children with ASN to access learning under direction and supervision.
• Work with teaching staff and partner agencies to provide high-quality support.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where learners feel valued and supported.
