Job summary

Farndon Fields Primary School is seeking an Attendance, Welfare and Family Support Officer to promote attendance, pupil welfare and family engagement across the school. The role links home and school, ensuring timely support to overcome barriers to attendance and wellbeing.

The post combines attendance coordination, family support via signposting, safeguarding administration and multi-agency collaboration, working with leaders and external agencies for positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in attendance monitoring or pastoral support.
• Ability to build positive relationships with families.
• Experience handling sensitive information and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day attendance and punctuality management.
• Provide family support and signposting to services.
• Support safeguarding and welfare records and processes.
• Coordinate with external agencies to secure positive outcomes.
