Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and debt collection.
• Proficient with Sage and AML checks.
• Ability to maintain accurate sales ledger records.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Monitor balances and aged debt reports daily.
• Ensure payment terms and schedules are followed.
• Contact customers by phone, email, text and written correspondence about overdue balances.
• Chase debts and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Apply late payment charges per policy.
• Escalate high-risk accounts to management.
• Place accounts on stop when authorised for overdue debt.
• Assist with legal debt recovery when required.
• Liaise with solicitors, debt collection agencies and bailiffs as directed.
• Support reduction of aged debt and meet collection targets.
• Set up new customer accounts and perform AML checks.
