Job summary

Kapital 7 Recruitment is seeking a Pump Service Engineer to operate in a field-based role across the Somerset area, travelling to commercial, industrial and domestic sites.

You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance, installation and commissioning of pumping systems, plus electrical installations on water and sewage pumping stations across the UK, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Pump Service Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, or Workshop Engineer working specifically with pumps and rotating equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: carry out mechanical and electrical fault-finding, servicing and repairs on pumps and equipment.
• Fault Diagnosis: inspect, strip down and analyse faults on pumps, pipework and rotating equipment on-site.
• Customer Service: provide professional technical advice to clients and maintain excellent relationships.
• Safety & Compliance: adhere to health and safety regulations on all sites and complete risk assessments.

Pump Service Engineer

As a Pump Service Engineer, you will operate in a field-based role, travelling to various commercial, industrial, and domestic client sites across the Somerset area

You will be responsible for the planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown response, installation, and commissioning of a wide range of pumping systems and associated equipment – both mechanically and electrically

You will be responsible for electrical installation of water & sewage pumping station equipment on various sites throughout the UK, performing maintenance and servicing of pumping stations across various industries and sectors

You will conduct mechanical and electrical fault-finding and resolve issues on site on call outs,

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Carry out mechanical and electrical fault-finding, servicing, and repairs on various pumps (e.g., centrifugal, submersible, sewage pump stations, booster sets, and vacuum pumps).
• Fault Diagnosis: Inspect, strip down, and analyse faults on pumps, pipework, valves, and rotating equipment both on-site
• Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, providing professional technical advice to clients and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations on all sites, ensuring risk assessments are respected.
