Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Mechanical Fitter in Coleford to perform mechanical assembly of pumps with either a diesel engine or electric motor. This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week, with a double day shift pattern across two weeks.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble diesel and electric skid sets, and log data in production books while adhering to safety and COSHH guidelines. Ideal candidates will have an engineering apprenticeship or NVQ3 (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent with 3 years of experience in fitting.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Experience in mechanical assembly or fitting environment.

Responsibilities

• Build bare shaft pumps to engineering drawings.
• Assemble diesel skid sets to drawings and BOM.
• Assemble electric skid sets to drawings and BOM.
• Raise assembly issues with QA engineer and supervisor.
• Fill in production data books with project information.
• Complete check sheets.
• Follow health, safety and COSHH rules.
• Communicate with peer group on project builds and shifts.
• Coordinate with test team to confirm pump readiness for testing.
