Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter in Coleford for a permanent role. You will work 37.5 hours per week, on a rotating two-shift pattern (06:00–14:00 one week, 14:00–22:00 the next, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).

You will assemble bare shaft pumps with electric motors or diesel engines, read engineering drawings, and raise any assembly issues with QA. A recognised engineering apprenticeship or NVQ3 and at least 3 years’ fitting experience are required; duties include completing

Qualifications

• Read engineering drawings
• Ability to work double day shift
• NVQ3 or equivalent apprenticeship is desirable

Responsibilities

• Build bare shaft pumps to engineering drawings
• Assemble diesel and electric skid sets to drawings and BOMs
• Raise assembly issues with QA and supervisor
• Fill in production data books and complete check sheets
• Comply with health, safety and COSHH requirements
• Communicate with peers and test teams during project builds
