Job summary

North Notts College, part of RNN Group, is seeking a Lecturer in Public Services to deliver high‑quality teaching across Level 1–3 with a focus on NCFE qualifications and policing expertise.

The successful candidate will plan sessions, assess and provide feedback while tracking learner progress and supporting progression into higher levels of study or employment. A relevant teaching qualification and policing background are essential, with willingness to pursue IQA/assessor roles.

Qualifications

• Vocational qualification at Level 3+ in Public Services or Policing.
• Demonstrable policing experience or policing specialism.
• Teaching qualification, assessor award and IQA or willingness to work towards.
• Level 2 English and Maths or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching across Public Services programmes, with a focus on NCFE provision.
• Plan and deliver sessions, mark and assess learners, provide feedback.
• Monitor learner progress and support progression to higher levels of study, employment or university.
• Contribute to course and module management as directed by the Line Manager.
• Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and monitor learner progress.
