Job summary

North Notts College invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Public Services. The role focuses on policing-related NCFE provision and delivering engaging lessons across Level 1–3.

You will plan, teach, assess, provide feedback, and monitor learner progress while supporting progression to higher study, employment or university. The post demands vocational qualifications, teaching credentials, and willingness to pursue IQA/assessor roles; approximately 30 hours weekly with a permanent

Qualifications

• Vocational qualification at Level 3 or above in Public Services/Policing or related field.
• Demonstrable policing experience or policing specialism.
• Relevant teaching qualification, assessor award and IQA, or willingness to work towards.
• Level 2 English and Maths or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across Public Services programmes.
• Deliver sessions from Level 1 to Level 3 with focus on NCFE provision, particularly Policing.
• Plan, deliver, mark and assess, provide feedback and track learner progress.
• Contribute to course/module management as directed by Line Manager.
