Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting for a Public Services Tutor/Lecturer on behalf of a well-established college in Caerphilly Borough. You will teach FE learners across Levels 1–3, delivering engaging Public Services lessons with ready-to-use resources and a focus on achievement and progression.

23 teaching hours per week with associated admin; the timetable may be condensed into four days. The role contains a handover and potential for extension beyond the initial assignment.

Qualifications

• Essential FE teaching experience.
• Experience delivering Public Services qualifications.
• Experience with Level 1–3 learning programmes.
• Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
• Experience assessing learner work and supporting achievement.
• Passion for helping learners succeed in Further Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Public Services qualifications across Levels 1–3.
• Plan and deliver teaching, learning and assessment.
• Monitor learner attendance, progress and behaviour.
• Provide structured feedback to learners.
• Support learner retention, progression and success.
• Use digital platforms and college tracking systems to monitor progress.
• Refer learners for additional support when needed.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and department development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance learner outcomes.
