Join Aon’s Underwriting Managers team in Redhill, offering a flexible arrangement that combines virtual and office work. The role focuses on underwriting major public sector risks—Motor, Property and Casualty—under delegated authority, with collaboration across insurers, brokers and clients.

You'll develop relationships, hit annual financial targets, contribute to product development, and operate within the Aon risk framework.

Qualifications

• Some underwriting experience (not necessarily public sector).
• Interest in public sector niche area and willingness to underwrite in this field.
• Ability to proactively develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Business sense and knowledge of the organisation and external market to identify risks and opportunities.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite major classes of business for public sector risks.
• Build relationships with supporting insurers.
• Deliver excellent service to clients and their broker.
• Assist Maven Public Sector team in meeting annual financial targets.
• Assist in product development.
• Work within the Risk Management Framework and complete mandatory training.
• Engage expertise to develop product and risk management solutions for public sector clients.
