Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking a Commercial Officer to join the Commercial Services Team. In this 37-hour-per-week role, you will provide procurement advice across construction, transport and corporate functions, developing strategies and tender documents to secure value for money and compliance.

You will work with stakeholders across the council to support priorities and adapt to evolving responsibilities as the team restructures.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in public sector procurement and contracts.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Able to provide practical procurement guidance across services.
• Committed to value for money and compliance.
• CIPS Level 5 qualification or working towards.
