Stockport Council is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join the Adult Social Care and Public Health Management Accountancy service. The role covers traditional management accounting and project support with internal and external partners.

It is a 18-month temporary post, offering hybrid working at Stopford House and homeworking. You will prepare budgets, close accounts and provide regular financial updates, with support from the Group Accountant.

Formación

• Strong analytical capability to assess financial implications and advise stakeholders.
• Effective presentational skills and ability to tailor communication to audience.
• Experience with budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting would be beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Provide traditional management/technical accounting support and project financial advice.
• Lead annual budget preparation, closing of accounts and monitoring of budgets.
• Produce regular financial position statements and forecasts at varying levels of detail.
• Support the Group Accountant / Strategic Financial Advisor as required.
