Job summary

NHS Fife Finance Directorate is seeking a Management Accountant (Band 5) to provide financial support, analysis and guidance to budget holders and managers across Corporate Services. The role emphasizes accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cost control within a large NHS organisation.

You will join the Financial Management Team, collaborating with operational managers and project teams to inform decision-making and ensure value for money across the directorate.

Qualifications

• HND in Accounting or related subject, or significant demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience in management accounting in a complex organisation.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management and co-ordination for designated projects, ensuring schemes are costed within funding.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
• Support budget holders to understand financial performance, forecasts, risks and corrective action.
• Contribute to financial recovery, efficiency and sustainability programmes and provide advice at relevant meetings.
