Look Ahead Care, Support and Housing Ltd seeks an Insurance Officer to support the Council's insurance portfolio and deliver an effective insurance service. You will process around 20–25 claims daily and liaise with insurers, solicitors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution.

Experience with EL/PL essential; knowledge of local government insurance is beneficial. The role supports the Risk and Insurance Manager within the Insurance and Risk Team and may require occasional travel to other

Qualificações

• Experience in non-life insurance: motor, public liability, employers liability, property claims.
• Local government insurance experience is beneficial.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience in claims negotiation and settlement.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and submit routine insurance claims to external insurers.
• Process routine claims across all insurances, including third party claims.
• Negotiate property and liability claims within council handling arrangements.
• Liaise with insurers, solicitors, loss adjusters, and internal teams.
• Prepare reports, returns, and evidence for insurers and courts.
• Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and Council policies.
