Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is expanding its Public Sector Assurance FRAS team and seeks an Assistant Manager to support accounting, financial reporting and finance function services for NHS trusts, local authorities and other public sector bodies in the UK. The role offers varied client work, exposure to IFRS in the public sector and clear progression.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification is required (ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA/CIPFA).
• Good knowledge of IFRS standards and their application in the public sector.
• Ability to engage with clients and understand their needs.
• Willingness to develop technical accounting and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client fieldwork on projects with focus on quality and risk management.
