Job summary

Grant Thornton UK seeks a Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to lead non-audit engagements within FRAS, working with NHS trusts and Local Authorities. You will apply IFRS knowledge to complex financial reporting challenges and drive high-quality outputs.

You will oversee project delivery, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to business development while managing client relationships. Hybrid working and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
• Post-qualification experience with Local Authorities/Health bodies or public sector finance functions.
• Strong grasp of IFRS in the public sector and related financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-audit engagements across FRAS services with high quality outputs.
• Lead on complex technical matters, including accounting issues and new standards.
• Support business development and pitch new service offerings.
• Oversee project finances and client onboarding.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
