Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking a Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to lead non-audit engagements across NHS trusts, Local Authorities and health bodies. You will deliver IFRS compliant financial reporting and provide finance function support.

You will work within FRAS in Public Sector Assurance, overseeing project delivery, finances and client onboarding, with opportunities for leadership, coaching juniors and business development.

Qualifications

• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
• Post qualification experience in public sector or Local Authorities/Health bodies.
• Strong grasp of IFRS in the public sector.
• Excellent knowledge of public sector financial reporting.
• Project management experience.
• Experience in leading and developing relationships.
• Business development experience would be beneficial.
• Experience of coaching junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the delivery of non-audit engagements across the public sector.
• Apply problem-solving to complex accounting and financial reporting issues.
• Lead wider team responsibilities through training and new projects.
• Involved in business development and ideas for new services.
• Oversee team members in project delivery and budgets.
