Job summary

Adecco are recruiting a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the financial governance of Gloucestershire Constabulary, based in Quedgeley. You will shape the annual budget, the Medium-Term Financial Plan and provide strategic financial insights to senior leaders.

The role requires CCAB qualification, senior leadership experience, and advanced Excel/financial system skills. You will mentor Finance Business Partners and ensure value-for-money and compliance across policing finance.

Qualifications

• CCAB-qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting and reporting at board level.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of the annual budget and MTFP.
• Oversee revenue and capital budgets for the Force and OPCC.
• Consolidate and report annual budgets to senior stakeholders.
• Manage monthly financial reporting and forecasting; prepare dashboards.
• Model financial outcomes with department heads and advise on value-for-money.
• Monitor project delivery and ensure value for money.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and support audits.
• Lead and mentor Finance/Procurement Partners.
