Job summary

VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in Newtownabbey to recruit an Electrician for a 3-month contract with a view to extension. The role focuses on electrical and electronic maintenance across the organisation’s sites, with a requirement for a robust apprenticeship background and several years of post-apprenticeship experience.

The successful candidate will manage maintenance tasks, diagnose faults and work across multiple crafts while adhering to safety regulations and site

Qualifications

• Recognised BITB or CITB apprenticeship.
• Approved Company apprenticeship with City and Guilds 236 Part 2 or equivalent.
• 5 years post-apprenticeship experience, at least 1 year maintaining complex electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake unsupervised electrical/electronic maintenance work related to training and related crafts.
• Carry out maintenance on electrical, electronic and mechanical systems in company buildings.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, electronic and mechanical plant; pass on knowledge to others.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work NI Order and company safety policies.
