Job summary

VE3 is seeking an experienced Head of Public Sector Legal & Contracts to lead the legal and contractual management of its UK public sector portfolio. You will provide practical legal advice across the full contract lifecycle, including tender reviews, contract negotiation, mobilisation, and variations.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK public procurement law and the ability to coordinate external counsel.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience reviewing and negotiating UK public sector contracts.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a practical, business-focused approach.
• Proven ability to provide clear, concise legal advice to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal legal management of VE3’s public sector contracts and related disputes.
• Review and negotiate public sector framework agreements, call-off contracts, statements of work, MSAs and schedules.
• Advise on liability, indemnities, warranties, data protection, IP, confidentiality and termination.
• Coordinate external legal counsel when specialist advice is required.
• Produce practical contract summaries for delivery and account teams.
• Ensure changes are properly documented and reflect negotiated positions.
