Job summary

MPA Recruitment in Belfast is seeking an experienced Assistant Solicitor (Band 6) to join the Legal Services Team in a busy public sector environment. The role supports Band 7 and Band 8 solicitors with housing-related litigation and property access proceedings.

You will assist with court attendance, prepare documents, maintain case files, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining confidentiality and working well within a team.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with relevant legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Band 7 and Band 8 solicitors with housing-related litigation.
• Provide legal support for access to properties and related proceedings.
• Assist with obtaining access to properties to facilitate inspections.
• Support cases involving oil, gas and solid fuel-related property inspections.
• Prepare and organise relevant legal documents and case files.
• Ensure progression of legal work in line with procedures.
• Attend court to support proceedings.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the Legal Services Team.
• Handle confidential information appropriately.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver legal services.
