Job summary

Shropshire Council seeks a Rights of Way Officer to manage the Definitive Map and ensure statutory responsibilities are met. You will negotiate with landowners and other agencies to enforce maintenance duties on the Rights of Way network and process applications to alter the map.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in Mapping and Enforcement Law, maintaining statutory registers and working with diverse stakeholders to improve countryside access and support local communities.

Qualifications

• Experience of Mapping and Enforcement Law.
• Experience ensuring Definitive Map and Statement up to date.
• Ability to process applications to alter the map and public Rights of Way.
• Maintaining statutory registers.
