Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary offers an internship hosted by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for a 12-month contract. You will develop professional skills and gain insight into how the OPCC collaborates with partners and communities for Derbyshire residents.

You will support policy development, review procedures, and communications, with a focus on administrative and research tasks that inform service improvements and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Be studying for a degree in a relevant subject (e.g., politics, public administration, policing, law, criminology or media).
• High standard of written presentation (handwritten and typed) with accurate spelling and grammar.
• Oral presentation skills and experience presenting research findings.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, research and project support to the OPCC host team.
• Assist in gathering, analysing and presenting information to inform decision‑making and service improvement.
