Job summary

Simpson Millar is seeking a Team Leader for our Public Law and Human Rights team to lead, support, and grow the practice. You will oversee CAPA and Inquest work, provide technical guidance, and manage a small caseload in line with firm policies.

The role requires a grade A Solicitor in England and Wales with current practicing certificate, strong leadership and business development skills, and a commitment to client care. We value flexibility and offer a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Must be a grade A Solicitor qualified in England and Wales with a current practising certificate.
• Experience managing claims against public authorities.
• Experience conducting own advocacy.
• Strong leadership and business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the Public Law and Human Rights team.
• Supervise CAPA and Inquest caseloads and provide technical support.
• Track team performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop local business and referrals for the department.
• Contribute to department development, marketing, and success.
