Our Public Health Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Public Health Programme Support Officer to join our team and help make a difference today.

About the Role:

As a Public Health Programme Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of public health programmes that improve the lives of our residents.

You’ll provide vital coordination and administrative support across the division, helping to manage programme operations, finances, procurement, governance, communications, and data monitoring. You’ll also lead on specific projects and topic areas, contributing to a range of public health activities that evolve over time to match local needs.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the council and with external partners, ensuring programmes run smoothly and deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised, with strong administrative and coordination skills
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities and take the lead on projects
  • Confident working with data, budgets, procurement, and reporting processes
  • Skilled in building partnerships and collaborating across teams
  • Committed to continuous professional development

You’ll need to:

  • Be educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience
  • Show evidence of ongoing professional development

Salary Range (Full time equivalent) £37,437 - £43,542
