Job summary

Crawley Borough Council is seeking a Pest Control Officer to join the Environmental Health team within Community Services. The role focuses on protecting public health across the borough, tackling diverse pest control challenges, and collaborating with residents, businesses and external agencies.

You will maintain stores and equipment, ensure safe pesticide handling, and adhere to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous pest control experience with BPCA Level 2 Award or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining pest control stores, equipment and workspace in accordance with safety policies.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Protect public health by addressing pest control challenges across the borough.
• Work independently and with a wider professional team, liaising with residents, businesses and external agencies.
• Maintain pest control stores, equipment and stock levels and ensure safe handling of pesticides.
• Operate in line with Health and Safety at Work Act and council policies.
• Lead liaison meetings when required.
