Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Community Health Protection & Immunisation Nurse (Band 5) to join our public health team in Aberaeron. The post is permanent with a 9-6 weekday pattern and occasional evenings/weekends, full or part time options, and pro–rata terms where required.

You will perform clinical assessments, vaccine administration, venepuncture, cannulation and IV/IM treatments while working with diverse services to improve population health and immunisation uptake across

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with public health understanding.
• Knowledge of Wales safeguarding procedures.
• Evidence of continuing education and professional development.
• Willing to undertake further training as necessary.
• Post-registration education – Diploma / Degree Level.
• Welsh language skills (Welsh speaker Level 1).

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and vaccine administration.
• Develop skills in venepuncture, cannulation, IV/IM treatments.
• Work with services to target uptake of immunisations and outbreaks.
• Plan, organise and prioritise own workload across the health board.
