Job summary

Westminster Abbey is seeking an Adult Engagement Manager (Maternity Cover) to lead a public programme, including tours, talks and late openings. The role focuses on engaging new audiences, managing delivery on time and within budget, and building partnerships with community organisations.

The post-holder will collaborate with Digital, Marketing and Communications teams, recruit and mentor volunteers, and oversee the Engagement Apprentice, supporting their development throughout the

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent relevant qualification, with substantial programming/delivery experience.
• Experience delivering adult engagement programmes on time and within budget.
• Strong communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging events, talks and tours aligned with Abbey themes.
• Use insight and evaluation to shape future programming and manage budgets.
• Build relationships with community partners to broaden engagement.
• Collaborate with Digital, Marketing and Communications to extend reach.
• Recruit, train and support volunteers; supervise the Engagement Apprentice.
• Line manage labelled roles within the Engagement team and support apprenticeship.
