Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Public & Community Transport Officer to join our Transport Planning Team. You will support planning, development and delivery of public and community transport services across the Borough, ensuring safety, accessibility, efficiency and sustainability.

The role requires up-to-date knowledge of transport legislation, strong ICT skills, fluency in English, and willingness to travel with access to a car.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public and community transport legislation.
• Planning and operation of local bus services knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Support the Service Lead for Public and Community Transport in planning, development and delivery of public and community transport services across the Borough.
• Assist with the continued development, review and delivery of Swindon Borough’s Bus Service Improvement Plan and Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme.
• Involved with local authority aspects of public transport operations and forward planning including contract management and tendering.
