YOTEL in Edinburgh is seeking a hands-on Public Area Housekeeping team member to keep high-traffic areas clean and welcoming. You’ll cover reception corridors, lifts and guest toilets, maintaining top standards throughout your shift in a busy hotel environment.

The role emphasizes a positive attitude, reliability, and a focus on health and safety, with opportunities for meals on duty, gym access, and long-service recognition as part of our supportive team culture.

Competenze

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning, ideally in a hotel or high-footfall environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a reliable, proactive approach.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and COSHH.

Mansioni

• Clean and maintain all public areas including receptions, corridors, lifts and toilets.
• Regularly check high-traffic areas to ensure standards throughout shifts.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure surfaces, floors, glass and fixtures are clean and dust-free.
• Support team and communicate effectively with the YOTEL team.

• We are looking for someone to join ourHousekeeping - Public Area, 40 hours Fully Flexible

Purpose of the role

As part of our Housekeeping Crew team, you'll be responsible for ensuring all guest-facing and back-of-house areas are kept clean, tidy, and looking their best throughout the day. You'll create a welcoming, hygienic, and safe environment for both guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and and maintain all public areas including the reception, corridors, lifts, stairs, guest toilets etc.
• Regularly check high-traffic areas to ensure standards are consistently met throughout shift.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
• Ensure all surfaces, floors, glass, and fixtures are clean and free from dust or marks.
• Support team members and communicate effectively with the wider YOTEL team
• Follow all health and safety, COSHH, and hygiene guidelines
• Always maintain a friendly and professional attitude with guests and colleagues

• Experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, ideally in a hotel or high-footfall environment
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Great attention to detail and high standards
• Reliable, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of health and safety procedure.
• Good time management and adaptability to changing priorities.
