The Role:
As a Public Area Cleaner at The Caledonian Edinburgh, you will play a crucial role in upholding the impeccable reputation of our luxury property by ensuring that all public spaces and back-of-house areas are consistently presented to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. Your attention to detail and commitment to delivering superior service will directly contribute to creating an inviting, elegant environment for both our guests and team members. This role is essential in ensuring that every guest experiences an atmosphere of comfort, elegance, and care throughout their stay.


Key responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all public and back-of-house areas, adhering to the hotel’s established standards. You will ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and hotel property, respecting privacy and adhering to company policies. You’ll collaborate with colleagues to address and resolve any queries or challenges that may arise, ensuring overall guest satisfaction and well-being. Assisting management in achieving operational goals and consistently delivering high performance is also essential. You will support the training of new team members on departmental procedures, standards, and best practices. Additionally, you will take part in system development initiatives and quality enhancement projects, provide support to the housekeeping team and assist with room attendant, linen, and laundry operations when needed, and engage in Brand Culture Programmes and contribute to Health and Safety Committees.
