Position: Cleaning Operative
Location: Portobello Area
Salary: £24,346 - £24,646 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 20 per week, 52 weeks
As a cleaner with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You'll deliver a vital cleaning service across our estate to ensure our properties are safe and clean places to work or learn in. Major Tasks/Job Activities
*Facilities Management has overall responsibility for keyholding to enable opening and closing of buildings. As part of this role, you will be required to be a key holder, including operation of security alarm systems, securing windows and doors, switching off lights, and ensuring premises are left safe and secure.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will need to provide this check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and increases annually until it reaches the top of the range.
