Job Description:

About you

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be on the way to becoming a leader within M+F. You will still play a crucial role in driving the day-to-day delivery of our client programmes, while also contributing to the agency more broadly, becoming a trusted adviser to clients, seeking opportunities to grow your accounts, and playing a leading role in new business pitches, proposals, marketing events, and projects.

Sector intelligence and understanding

You should have developed a strong understanding of the UK health policy environment. Your ability to provide timely updates, analysis, and advice to clients is key. We expect our Senior Account Managers to maintain knowledge and skills such as:

  • Knowledge of key milestones, news, and developments in the health and wellbeing sector.
  • Thorough understanding of health policy, including NHS structure, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and other healthcare issues.
  • Ability to communicate implications of developments and advise clients accordingly.
  • Sharing relevant information with the team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor major developments in the health space (policy, political, media) regularly.
  • Provide timely alerts and recommendations to clients and internally about monitoring items of interest.
  • Manage daily operations of client accounts and projects, responding promptly to requests and alerting senior colleagues to issues.
  • Recommend programme expansion, delivery enhancements, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify and advise on risks to clients and the team.
  • Conduct research and prepare briefing materials for clients and marketing or new business projects.
  • Contribute ideas to new business strategies and participate in pitches.
  • Take a leading role in developing proposals and shaping strategies.
  • Attend relevant events to develop contacts, sector intelligence, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Support marketing efforts through blogging and other initiatives.
  • Manage and support junior team members, fostering their development.

Contribution to the agency and industry

We seek someone who will:

  • Actively contribute to the agency’s culture, marketing, and success.
  • Find ways to contribute to our purpose of positively impacting UK health and wellbeing, supporting initiatives in sustainability, wellbeing, or diversity and inclusion.
  • Engage with industry groups, events, and activities to contribute to the wider industry.

What We Offer:

Alongside a competitive salary and pension, benefits include:

  • 23 days holiday (rising to 26), Self-Care Day, and seasonal shutdown days at Christmas.
  • Flexible Fridays (early leave at 4:30 pm) and summer hours.
  • Quarterly socials and company away days.
  • Juno Wellbeing Points for staff perks and benefits.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave.
  • Free weekly breakfasts, snacks, lunches, and more.

M+F Health values diversity and is committed to equal opportunities, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds, especially underrepresented groups. We do not discriminate based on age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or marital status.
