National Grid is seeking a senior Public Affairs professional to lead government relations and stakeholder engagement across England and Wales, with a focus on the NGET transmission network. The role involves advising senior leaders, shaping messaging, and coordinating strategic responses to policy and regulatory developments.

The role requires deep knowledge of UK political processes, five+ years in political affairs, and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders across industry

• Experience in public affairs, government relations or corporate affairs within regulated industries is required.
• Strong understanding of UK political structures and policy-making processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships with politicians, government bodies and think tanks.
