Job Description:
This large, famous agency is looking for an established Associate (or Senior Associate) Director to join their Public Affairs team. This is a newly generated role, due to some robust new business wins secured during the pandemic period. The successful candidate will work on these new accounts as well as some of the most fascinating, high-profile, and confidential projects in the agency and in the wider communications industry.
We are looking for someone with:
- A deep understanding of public affairs in the UK
- Recent experience of UK agency working and an understanding of the commercials
- An excellent track record of winning new business
- Strong client management skills, proactive in anticipating client needs and responding swiftly
- A strategic thinker capable of influencing policy and providing top-tier strategic advice informed by political risk analysis
- Flexibility and hunger, as the role involves working with clients across all sectors
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Grow the income and profile of public affairs
- Be a trusted advisor to clients, adding value through strategic counsel
- Represent the division in relevant forums and networks, participating in speaker platforms
- Provide leadership to public affairs consultants
- Support the growth and development of junior team members
- Manage budgets, revenue forecasting, client budgets, and fee negotiations to ensure profitability
- Work as a high-energy multi-tasker with strong writing skills and attention to detail
