Outcomes First Group is recruiting a Psychotherapist or Psychologist Practitioner to join Bankside College in Worcester. You will deliver psychological assessments and interventions to students aged 11–25 within an education setting.

You will hold a caseload with supervision, contribute to school development, staff training and consultation, and work within safeguarding and professional standards while collaborating with the education team.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification as Psychologist with HCPC registration or equivalent psychotherapist qualification.
  • Experience in education settings and with relevant client groups.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neuro-diversity.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and within school development plans.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychological/psychotherapist assessments and interventions for students.
  • Hold a psychological/psychotherapy caseload with clinical supervision.

Job Title: Psychotherapist or Psychologist Practitioner
Location: Bankside College – Worcester WR8 0AD
Salary: Up to £52,000 (DOE)
Hours: 15 hours per week
Contract: Permanent – 52 weeks
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

We are looking for a Psychotherapist or Psychologist Practitioner to join our in-house clinical team at Bankside College.

Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver psychological / psychotherapist assessment and intervention to students who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be given responsibility for holding a psychological / psychotherapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician, also contributing to school development, staff training and consultation as required. This post would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual.

Essential Criteria:
  • Professional qualification as Psychologist and HCPC registered or evidence of recognised professional qualification as Psychotherapist, either Level 7 (e.g. Master’s degree) or above OR Level 6 relevant degree alongside relevant therapeutic diploma/s and experience of working with relevant client group and using relevant methods of service delivery
  • Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP
  • Relevant previous experience, working in related settings or with related client group
  • Experience of effective multi-disciplinary working (working with both clinical and non-clinical, internal and external agencies)
  • Experience of effectively communicating with/working with families/relatives and carers
  • Experience of effectively working at different systems within an organisation e.g. service development, group and individual levels.
  • Experience of working via a model of: ‘assess, plan, do and review
  • Experience of effectively using consultation as a method of service delivery.
  • Adequate competence in all core areas of psychological or psychotherapeutic practice, meets HCPC practice standards or that of the relevant governing body.
  • Knowledge of client group and their needs.
  • Knowledge of trauma informed practice and neuro-diversity.
