Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking an experienced Psychotherapist to join our established school-based clinical team in Burgess Hill. You will deliver bespoke assessments and intervention plans for students with autism and complex needs, working within a multidisciplinary in-house therapy network across settings.

The role emphasises trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming education, high-quality report writing and collaboration with staff and parents to support student wellbeing and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified psychotherapist with Level 7 credential.
  • Registered with HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC or UKCP.
  • Experience working with neurodivergence and complex needs.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver bespoke assessments and intervention plans for students with complex needs.
  • Provide psychotherapy duties and write concise reports.
  • Collaborate with onsite clinical team to develop service provision and train staff and parents.
  • Maintain safeguarding and complete required documentation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join an established school with a friendly team, multi-disciplinary in-house therapy team and connected to a nationwide network of specialist therapists and leadership. We welcome applications specialised in trauma informed and neuro-diversity affirming education and therapy. In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment, and intervention plans for students with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs. You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping our students in your daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy. Undertaking all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties, you will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out specialist individual assessments and interventions, and preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. A significant element of this role will be working alongside the onsite clinical team to continue to develop the clinical service provision, including providing support and training to staff and parents. Our well-established multidisciplinary Clinical Team maintain a nurturing environment where our students can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do. All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and our students are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.

Essential
  • Appropriate Psychotherapeutic qualification (Level 7)
  • Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
  • Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
  • Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision
  • Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within designated speciality
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
