Job Title: Psychotherapist

Location: Wetheringsett Manor, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 5QX

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00am-16:00pm

Contract: Fixed Term -1 Year

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our developing Clinical Teams based at Wetheringsett Manor School, in Stowmarket, to work as a key integrated member of our clinical teams.

Within OFG we have a number of psychological therapists who support our students. These include art and drama psychotherapists as well as those who work from a more integrative perspective.

In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment, and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.

You will implement a holistic, therapeutic approach to helping our pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and healthy. Undertaking all aspects of Psychotherapy clinical duties, you will adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines, carrying out specialist individual assessments and interventions, and preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. A significant element of this role will be working alongside the onsite clinical team to continue to develop the clinical service provision, including providing support and training to staff and parents.

  • Recognised degree in Counselling or Psychotherapy, and registered with appropriate professional body - BACP or NCPC, plus HCPC where applicable - (Creative/Arts)
  • Minimum of Level 7 qualification or Level 5 qualification plus adequate and relevant experience
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
  • Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs(e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
  • Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision
  • Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within designated speciality
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
